Gates and Gardens

Our hearts are gates and gardens, It must be maintained and weeded out.

He promises we will be like a well watered garden. If not, foxes can get in and destroy it. (Song of Solomon 2:15) These foxes can be roots of bitterness, anger, unhealthy habits and relationships...

This is stewardship. It is our responsibility to take care of the lot He has given with great care and diligence. Not everyone has permission to enter immediately to see what treasures we have. It takes time, patience and trust. No, these aren’t walls, but boundary lines that are needed to protect our valuable treasures... these limits are good and for our protection.

“The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

My heart is a house. A home for His glory... His dreams are mine, this temple is His and we should be faithful to protect what He has given us.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
